1. Product Introduction
Arc SmCo magnets, also known as curved SmCo magnetic tiles, are special-shaped rare-earth permanent magnets specially designed for high-temperature motors. The curved structure closely fits motor rotors with extremely low magnetic attenuation under continuous high-temperature conditions. Featuring inherent oxidation and corrosion resistance without electroplating coating, these magnets are customized for long-term high-temperature power equipment operation.
For detailed grade parameters, please refer to our SmCo Magnet Performance Chart.
2. Product Classification
Standard Non-porous Arc SmCo MagnetsSuitable for small high-temperature fans and miniature high-temperature motors.
Arc SmCo Magnets with Countersunk HolesIdeal for high-power high-temperature servo motors. Screw locking ensures firm installation and prevents falling off during high-speed operation.
Large Central Angle Sector SmCo MagnetsApplied in large driving motors for aerospace and petroleum equipment.
Ultra-thin Miniature Arc SmCo MagnetsMatching high-temperature gimbals and miniature high-temperature executive motors.
3. Magnetic Grades & Performance
SmCo5 (1:5 Series): Max operating temperature of 250℃, suitable for medium and small-sized high-temperature motors.
Sm₂Co₁₇ (2:17 Series): Operating temperature of 300–350℃, applied in ultra-high-temperature equipment for military, petroleum and aerospace fields.
SmCo magnets feature an extremely low temperature coefficient and stable magnetic performance under alternating cold and hot working conditions. With natural rust and oxidation resistance, no surface coating is required.
4. Core Advantages
Superior High-temperature ResistanceFar outperforms high-temperature NdFeB magnets with no irreversible demagnetization during continuous high-temperature operation.
Uniform Magnetic Field DistributionThe precision arc surface closely fits the rotor structure, effectively reducing motor vibration and noise.
Excellent Environmental AdaptabilityResistant to oxidation, moisture and oil-gas corrosion, ensuring long-term stable operation in humid and high-temperature environments.
Reliable Mechanical InstallationIntegrated countersunk hole processing allows screw fixing, avoiding component falling off caused by high-temperature glue failure.
Stable Magnetic OutputMinimal magnetic fluctuation under temperature changes, guaranteeing continuous and stable equipment operation.
5. Application Scenarios
Widely used in aerospace drive motors, petroleum downhole power motors, high-temperature servo motors, vacuum equipment motors, military instrument motors, high-temperature industrial fans and high-temperature frequency conversion equipment.
6. Usage Precautions
SmCo material is brittle. Handle with care during assembly. Chamfering treatment is recommended for sharp corners to prevent edge chipping and cracking.
Select the 2:17 series arc SmCo magnets for equipment operating continuously above 200℃.
Countersunk hole types are recommended for high-speed motors to achieve firmer installation.
7. Custom Service
We support customized arcs, thicknesses and countersunk hole specifications according to motor drawings. Small-batch prototyping is available. Our professional engineers provide free high-temperature grade selection and optimization solutions for your equipment.
